Huntington Beach State Park

January 5-February 4, 2015:  We moved to Huntington Beach for a 30 day stay.  It is just 16 miles south of Myrtle Beach.  We have been enjoying this area with daily walks on the beach, bike rides, and the wildlife viewing.  In this park there is a salt marsh.  Besides water fowl, there are alligators.  Since the temperatures have been in the 50-60 range during the day, we have not seen any yet.  Here are a few pictures from our first week's stay.

                        Walkway to the beach.

Great blue heron in the salt marsh.

Pelicans on the small island in the salt marsh.

Great blue herons, great egrets, white ibis, and wood storks in the salt marsh.
