A Peek Inside

Saturday, February 22, 2014:  We are working towards a March 10th departure if the weather cooperates.  This morning Chuck started the generator, turned on the furnace, and opened the slide out.  It was warm inside for a day of organizing and learning how everything works.

Pick up day!

It is Wednesday, February 19, 2014.  We planned to pick up our motorhome today since the weather forecast called for a sunny day with above freezing temperatures.  We were up early getting ready when suddenly we noticed it was snowing.  Thankfully, the weather improved so we drove to Wayland, hooked up the Jeep, and drove back home.  As soon as we get it loaded we will head to a southern location.....to be announced.

Jeep Day!

It is February 7, 2014.  We are at General RV in Wayland, Michigan.  Our Jeep is being equipped today so we can tow it behind our motorhome.  We are spending the day working in the Via, becoming familiar with everything and lining all the cupboards.

November Wedding!

It was November 11, 2013.  Our flight was scheduled to leave for Portland, Oregon.  Snowstorm in Stevensville, Michigan!  We had to change our flight to leave the next day.  We were flying out for our daughter's wedding on November 16, 2013, in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon.

Winnebago Via Owners!

Finally, a break in the weather! We head to General RV in Wayland, Michigan to meet our motorhome for the first time.  It is Thursday, January 30, 2014.  The day is quite overwhelming....starting with the manager introducing us to our Via, the staff orientating us to all the operations, meeting with the service manager, paying for the Via and signing tons of papers, and selecting important items we will need for operation and enjoyment in our new home.  So here it is.....unveiled and as yet unnamed.  By the way, it is staying at the dealership until we can safely drive to the warm parts of the country.....to be announced at a later date. When we encountered a blizzard on the drive home, we knew it was the right decision to leave the Via there.  Where will we go first?

From the Grandkids!

On January 11th we got this picture and note from the grandchildren in Washington:  Your RV showed up today.  They sent it to the wrong house!
