Wintering in the Northwest

We have decided to spend the winter in Gig Harbor, Washington.  Our motorhome is currently at a Winnebago service center where more repairs are being done to the floor.  Winnebago and Mercedes are offering extended warranties.  We rented an apartment at Summit Tower in Gig Harbor.  It is a blessing to be more involved in the daily lives of Ammon's family.
The last day at the campground in Blinky Bill!
                                                       Our apartment.

Skip is enjoying the new furniture!

Silas, Bruce, and Sadie celebrating the apartment!
                             October 8, 2015:  Happy 8th birthday, Bruce!
Look!  Room for all my toys now!  And a Sadie to snuggle me!
                                                  Halloween at Ammon's!

Harbor boat dock at high tide.
Harbor boat dock at low tide.
We have been watching harbor seals and sea otters.
Walking across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

The fall colors have been brilliant!
While trees are changing bright shades of red, other plants continue to bloom.

Skip has met many new friends. This is Scout. He's a Leonberger and weighs 100 lbs more than Skip.
Every day the morning sky offers a different view over Puget Sound.

                                                 Mount Rainier from the harbor.

                                              Mt. Rainier from the apartment.
Morning sky with a snowier Mt. Rainier peeking over the tree tops.

  2. Looks really nice. Almost picked that area to winter in but think the weather is a bit better here. Did you get hit by that storm over the weekend? Raining here today. Still looking for work. Have a job offer in Estes, CO for the summer. Stay safe and hope to see you on the road again somewhere.
