Michigan's Upper Peninsula

September 21-22, 2014: We camped at Indian Lake State Park in Manistique, Michigan, for two days.  We enjoyed our lakeside campsite and a hike in the woods along the lake.  We visited Palms Book State Park while in the area.  It has one of Michigan's alluring natural attractions -- Kitch-iti-kipi. Two hundred feet across, and 40-feet deep, Kitch-iti-kipi is Michigan's largest freshwater spring. Over 10,000 gallons a minute gush from fissures in the underlying limestone at a constant 45 degree Fahrenheit.  We rode the glass bottom raft across the water where large trout could be seen swimming below in the crystal blue water.
